we've made dog gear since 1988. the independent pet stores that carry alcott asked us for a tactical line, so we built this one the way we build everything else: tough where it has to be and soft where it touches the dog.
questions
is this the collar for my dog, or is the adventure collar?
the adventure collar is the right collar for most dogs. this one is for the dog you sometimes need a hand on: the big young dog who pulls, or the one who is out of the car before you are. if you've ever wished his collar had a handle, this is it.
can I lift my dog by the handle?
no. the handle is for holding him beside you and steering him through a gate or a door, not for lifting. a harness spreads that kind of load across the chest; a collar doesn't.
does it go with the harness and the long line?
yes. the harness and the long line are black, so every collar color goes with them. pick the set in the buy box and the harness comes in the matching size.
what if the size is wrong?
send it back unused and we swap it for free. that goes for the harness and the collar in the set too.
how much is shipping, and when does it ship?
US priority shipping is free on orders over $50 and $4.99 or less under it. the full set ships free; the collar with the long line usually comes in under $50. orders placed Monday to Thursday leave our Ohio warehouse the next business day; weekend orders go out Monday.
